i have to question the fairy-godmother's wisdom. i understand this is Cinderella's first step out of poverty and into the world of privilege. this is her big chance. it's important she have the right dress and all to make a good first impression, and, with any luck, win over the prince. and believe me i understand the shoes can make or break an outfit.

but glass slippers? sure they're elegant, they're bold -- perhaps too bold.
