You don't want a girl who values quantity over quality. She's gonna get her Lexus - and neglected. 'Course, that's a hard lesson for young folks to learn. Kinda like fire - they have to burn their fingers before they'll believe ya.

And it's hard to remember when you're the guy holding that custom-crafted heart.

things made by hand have a far higher quality for gifts than bought things, because you took the time to actually MAKE something.

Aw. Good guys don't finish last...they just work harder and put more effort into it. One would think they'd be rewarded for their efforts...

They shouldn't lose hope though! good guys rule! <33

For what it counts, I'd take something home made over some multi-produced shit any day... except for on Valentine's day, because I hate that day

It's not the price of the gift, but how much love you put into it. You clearly put a lot of love into that. A shame it wasn't appreciated. Too many people assume money=love.

the story of my life. do I ... know you?

nah, in all seriousness, love benefits the one that loves. our guy here might not be able to give that heart to someone else, as he put his love for this particular girl into making it. but keep making hearts for those you can't resist making hearts for, and there'll be someone one day to appreciate it.

at least I freaking hope so, as that's what I keep doing.=)

If I guy gave me a heart he took the time to build for me, I'd fall for him instantly. If that girl felt nothing, she isn't worth it.

JB: Before I scrolled down to see the bottom panel, I felt happy for whomever was going to receive your hard work, and inevitably your "heart". After viewing the bottom panel, I had an incredible aching in my heart. Very well portrayed, and I like your cartoony style. I hope you find a better recipient for your affections.
