yes, i made an insensitive fat joke.

but more than that, it's a jab at hypocrisy.

it's mocking people who hide behind worn out slogans rather than just be honest about themselves.

i don't care who or what you are, just don't pretend to be something that you're not.

still offended? good. not all comedy is as safe and polite as Family Circus.

I dont mind girls having a little meat on their bones, ya know. But usually having a bowl full of jelly in the wrong place isn't very attractive.

I myself am a curvy girl, you know with the 'hourglass shape' and stuff, so when a woman who is that size says I'm curvy, damn it makes me feel horrible suddenly. XD I have nothing against the uh, 'round is a shape' thing but I don't think it's something to flaunt and you're certainly not curvy in the way it's meant. Now, I've seen some hefty women who I can honestly call curvy because they look good! You know, the plus size women like Queen Latifa and stuff? They're HAWT and I envy them sometimes. XD But when your a jiggly blob of gelatin... Yeeeaaaah, that's not plus sizes, that's Mondo Sizes and the 'curves' went to singular.

I agree but don't agree, it that makes sense. I don't necessarily think people should focus so much on how it's said but what the message is. The message is that a woman should be able to go without endless criticism about how she's shaped. If it doesn't bother her, it shouldn't bother you.

If she wants to call herself curvy, let her. You don't have to agree, but you also don't have to split hairs about phrasing and terminology.

ye gads.. reading some of the "offended" comments on this cartoon is truly cringe-inducing, and reminiscent of youtube comment-wars.

*smiles* but yes, there i was real women just have to have two X chromosomes...

The sheer amount of commentry you got clearly shows this was a cartoon worth drawing. *thumbs up*

I don't have anything against weighing that much. It's just the attitude.
